Cabins are generally the same shape, but come in many different sizes! Because we have a vast number of vehicle and crane combinations, our Key Account Managers can specify the exact vehicle for the job. Our smallest trucks take care of the 10` long x 8` wide, whilst the largest accommodate the very big cabins at 60` long x 14` wide.
The majority of cabins are fitted with jacklegs which enable them to be levelled on uneven ground. These legs are also designed to be used for the lifting of the cabin by the crane and also securing the cabin to the truck. If the need arises to lift the cabin from underneath, Milbank Trucks has a comprehensive selection of lifting chains, straps and spreader beams to avoid any damage. |
The vehicles specified for cabins can have a reach up to 16 metres, which allows us to position cabins end on, over obstacles and also double stack . On site, positioning of a cabin is easy. The Remote Controlled crane allows the operator to be with the cabin on his own without troubling the contractor for labour to help.

Containers are fitted with twist lock fixing points in each corner at the top and the bottom, enabling the top set to be used to lift the container, whilst the bottom set are used to secure the container onto the vehicle. With extendable twist locks fitted to some of our vehicles we can even accommodate for the wider containers. Some containers have to go indoors, no problem for our fully trained installation team to skate into position and jack down. Whether they are 6` or 40` Containers they present no problem to Milbank Trucks |
