To try and make things a little easier we have put together a simple guide of what is required to book Milbank Trucks Ltd to cover your transport needs. Customers must provide accurate information to prevent the service being jeopardised.

To help us organise the appropriate vehicle for your needs, please have the following information prior to contacting one of our Key Account Managers:

Weights and Dimensions...

Accurate weights and dimensions of the goods are required to make sure we send the best suited vehicle for the job.

Lifting points...

To ensure the correct lifting equipment is supplied please notify how the goods are to be lifted.

Collection / Delivery details...

Full addresses ideally including full postal codes.

Special instructions...

i.e. Time restrictions or Hazardous goods.

Restricted access...

Tight sites or access roads.

Site Visits / Method Statements...

If you are unsure on any aspect of the job a Site Visit by an Appointed Person can be arranged who can then produce a Site Specific Method Statement if requested.

Insurance...

All goods are carried under RHA Conditions of carriage (1998) Any additional requirements must be notified.

Once you have all of the relevant information above then give one of our Key Account Managers a call on: 0845 850 86 87 who will then book the transport you require. If your are unsure on any aspect of the above a Key Account Manager will be more than happy to assist.

All bookings must be confirmed by fax or e-mail made for the attention of the Key Account Manager looking after your requirements.

Any alterations to your original request must be brought to the attention of the Key Account Manager looking after your requirements as soon as possible to ensure your requirements can be met in full.

For new customers a small amount of paperwork will be sent which needs to be checked, signed and returned prior to commencement of business. These are as follows:

Booking Confirmation...

This one page document stating the details of the job needs to be checked and returned to the Key Account Manager signed to ensure everything is correct.

RHA Conditions...

Customers must sign to agree to RHA Conditions of Carriage. The level of "Goods in Transit" cover required should be agreed between the customer and key Account Manager prior to commencement of business.

Payment Terms...

For new customers payment upfront is required in the form of a cheque (made payable to Milbank Trucks Ltd) or Credit / Debit Card (2% Credit Card charge applies to all Credit Card transactions.) On completion of three jobs with Milbank Trucks Ltd a 30 day credit account can be opened subject to a satisfactory credit check.

It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that goods are presented in a safe and secure condition suitable for carriage.

Full consideration must be given to ensure that the consignment is suitable for transhipment and movement by road.

If the driver making the collection from your premises is unhappy with the condition of the freight, you will be informed of his concerns and a decision will be made between yourself and the Key Account Manager as to the future of the consignment.

All quotes are subject to VAT at the current rate and valid for 30 days.
